Here is the slate of candidates:
Conservative: Incumbent Daryl Kramp
Liberal: Ken Cole
NDP: Michael McMahon
Green: Alan Coxwell
No Independents at this time
Prediction: Kramp by 12 500
Hi Jim,
I agree with your prediction BTW. However, I’m looking forward to seeing who else gets on the ballot… for soem reason I expect Trueman Tuck, the perennial Freedm party/Independent to show up.
Ken Cole is running a strong and aggressive campaign, but this is not shaping up to be a good year for Liberals anywhere, let alone those in ridings such as this one.
Neal
I see several structural flaws in the Grit organization, not caused by the local candidate, but inherent in the party structure.
As the Intel reported, the Conservatives are raising nearly 50% more money locally, and from about 300% more contributors. That simply has to hurt.
So what happened to Lyle Vanclief’s big red machine? The answer to that qustion, I think, explains what is happening to the Liberal “brand” nationally.
