Hey Muskoka, do me a favour and fire Tony Clement. I’m from East Vancouver and I can’t vote against him, but he’s trying to shut down our safe injection site. Insite saves lives and it saves four healthcare dollars for every dollar it costs, but Tony Clement wants to kill it because he has an ideological problem with it.

This is a public health issue, not a moral one. Please don’t vote someone this mean back into office. Nobody should get hepatitis because of someone else’s principles.

I’m with you Ben, but I can’t vote him out either. The guy was Minister of Death, NOT Health, people died under his watch from SARS and Listeria, but everything is a joke to him. And as you say, he objects to the safe injection sites, and going way back, he was one of Harris’ henchmen when the e-coli tragedy took some lives in Walkerton. Minister of Death Clement, has the perfect CV for Harper’s caucus….

Parry Sound-Muskoka: I helped defeat Clement twice in Brampton West provincially and federally. You came very close last time around, you just need a few more people to finish the job. He’s done little but embarrass us at the Toronto AIDS conference, muck around in Vancouver. Then again, he has added food safety control to his credentials to join his municipal water safety control record. And a shout out to Kearney, who I hope will help take care of Milhouse.

Too bad this looks like a Conservative hold.

(please disregard the last post made in error)

In the last election I voted Conservative because I believed that Harper was the best choice. Now during that election I didn’t pay much attention to Tony Clement, or think of what might happen if he was elected.

In the last few years I have been very disappointed in Tony Clements performance, not including my impression when i actually met him. So suffice to say as much as my opinion has not changed, and i feel that Harper is still the best choice for Prime Minister. I don’t think I can vote conservative, just because I do not want four more years of Minister of Death Clement.

So the problem is vote conservative because i want Harper to be elected, while letting Clement get by in another election. Whats the phrase that i am looking for “Riding on Harper’s coat tails”. Or vote someone else just to make sure that at least i can be in good conscious that I didn’t help the guy get reelected.

Less then three days away and still undecided.

Sean, one vote against isn’t going to lose the election for Harpo…but if you cast it for the Minister of Death than you have that to live with as do the rest of us who can’t vote against him. You have two days to meet the young fellow at the hardware store and get a feel for him. The others, well, it would be the same as voting for Dr. Death.
    Happy Thanksgiving!

Just read through the asinine posts here for Parry Sound – Muskoka and Tony Clement.

1.) I have spend a fair bit of time with both Jamie McGarvey and Tony Clement. Tony Clement is head and shoulders above Mr. McGarvey in terms of education, experience, intellect, integrity, and understanding of the issues and what it means to be a federal MP.

2.) “Milhouse”, comments say more about your lack of intelligence than they do about any candidate.

3.) Root cause of Walkerton disaster was cronyism, nepotism and alcohol at the municipal level. The town. management allowed a drunkard to run the water system. The drunkard hired his equally besotted brother as his assistant. When chlorination equipment broke down, the drunkard faked entries in the water system log to show that it was working fine. When the public health officer raised the red flag about e. coli. sickness, the drunkard denied everything and stated that all was fine, test results were good. The drunkard allowed residents of Walkerton to consume tainted water for several days more until the public health officer took charge and shut things down. And somehow Tony Clement and Mike Harris are responsible for this?

4.) Tony Clement has worked very hard for this riding. In addition to his national responsibilities, Tony understands that his first duty is a the representative for Parry Sound – Muskoka. He has a great local track record and deserves to be re-elected.

Come on people… Don’t embarrass yourselves by posting personal attacks and uninformed crap on any electronic forum. Stick to the facts and try to use reason and logic to make your case.
