You are correct Shane, that comment is my personal opinion on how the issue was present. And I absolutely should have stated that what I was saying was not a quote from you. I appologize as it does read that way. I am not quoting you. It is only my interpretation of things said during the last federal election.

Michel, you know as well as I do that I have never advocated the privatization of our healthcare system. As I said to you in an email earlier today, I believe that our universal healthcare system is more efficient and cost effective than any private system could be. In addition, it is a matter of social justice.
Please stop these unfounded accusations in your attempt to discredit myself and Dick Hibma. He is a very good man who desires to serve his community well.
There is really no need for your paranoia, as we hold the same opinion regarding healthcare…unless of course your paranoia is simply of a partisan nature.

I’m terrified that the Greens would win in Bruce-Grey. They have only in this election decided to support public health care. In the last election Shane Jolley said that it was a burden to the public system that should be let go. Greens are only conservatives with a better environmental policy. They clearly feel that social services should be privatized. A vote for Dick Hibma is damning our community to further socio-economic failure!!! Jill McIllwraith is a good candidate, and the NDP have the best policies… people are just jumping on a band wagon with the Greens and should vote for a party and candidate with a record for standing up and fighting for us!!!!!!!

As some of the other posts point out this is one to watch. The latest polls just released give the greens 22% behind the Cons 39% with the rest trailing by 10 points or more. A long way to go for the Greens but we have 18% undecided and with the ABC crowd looking for where to place their vote anything could happen. The surprise to me is how one in four still prefer the Cons with their antidemocratic actions both within the House and in respect to pre election mailouts. I may not like their actions but I admire their spin machine, I guess money can buy a election. We shall see what happens!

I think the Liberals here are a lot stronger than they’re given credit for. This is old Ovid Jackson territory, and the Liberal candidate this time – seems to be getting a lot of support from the farm groups, which counts for a lot here. Miller hasn’t done much for the farmers, and I think they could turn against the Conservatives. I like the Green platform too, but I think the Liberals are the ones who can actually deliver on it. I had a chance to meet Noble, and I think he’s the guy who can do it here.

The Greens are going to finish better than the Liberals in this riding. However, it’s a Conservative win for sure.

While you may think Greg that this one is a cakewalk for the CPC I beg to differ. The Greens are very likely to make a breakthrough here. With Green Party of Ontario Deputy Leader Shane Jolley the former provincial candidate at 33% in the last contest Greens in BGOS are ready for primetime.

From what I hear fundraising is going very well, volunteers are pooring in and the campaign is just humming along.
