Why are you suggesting that strategically here one should vote Liberal? There are few doubts in St. John’s that this riding will be an NDP pick-up for popular former NDP Newfoundland and Labrador leader Jack Harris. A local poll here actually confirms that Harris is way out ahead.
So can you correct this please!
St. John’s East is not in the NDP strategic voting guide. Where did you see that?
I think Jan was trying to say was that this is a Conservative NDP race, and the Liberal voting guide isn’t saying vote NDP, which it should, as they have the far greater chance of preventing Wescott’s election. However I don’t believe that Wescott can defeat Harris here, if you are against a Harper win, then one should vote NDP even if you favour the Liberal.
I recently moved from Alberta, to NL my husband is a newfoundlander and I am not. I have always been a conservative suppoter, however, for this election purposes I am very disappointed with Harper’s approach in Atlantic Canada, especially NL. My vote will definitely go to NDP as I believe Jack Harris will represent what all hard working middle class income families stand for.
