I can’t believe you people. Your actually going to let Danny Williams bully you as to how to vote?

Harper has been a great Prime Minister, a way better one in two years than Chretien or Martin in thirteen. Harper’s decisive, strong, and not afraid to be unpopular in order to get things done.

I may not be a Newfoundlander myself, but I have alot of family down there. And I feel that you need MPs who can get things done for you, not Liberals who’s sole purpose is to just get their names in the paper, or NDPers who have no chance to get anything done anywhere.

Re-elect Fabian Manning. As demonstrated in the past, he’s not affraid to stand up to the bullying tactics of Mr. Williams.

Does NDP Candidate Randy Dawe know that he doesn’t have to run every time there is an election.

Why isn’t this on the list of ridings where New Democrats should consider voting Liberal? The NDP candidate has NO chance and voting for him is a waste, if your objective is to defeat the Conservatives.

Some things are just true.People here genuinely feel they cant make it without government help.In fact if you look at the ACOA (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency) colossal failures here people are wise to feel we cannot make it WITH government help.The system–not the people are flawed here and thats why the pessimistic attitude.

Fabian Manning has to go down to defeat, we cannot let this reform-alliance-Conservative party win a seat in this province. We are not talking about the old and respected Progressive Conservative party here. That party would never have Stephen Harper as its leader.

Last weeks poll had Andrews within the margin of error,and it has been all down hill for Manning from there.With the national campaign coming on strong this one is now Andrews to lose. Look out Ottawa, he will be a household within weeks.

Any Atlantic canadian who would vote for a man who even suggested they were lazy and had a “defeatest attitude” and then go and break his election promises in the last federal election is “crazy”. A vote for Manning is a vote for Harper!!! ABC

The NDP will not be a factor here (their candidate is trying to fill out his bingo card – run for the Canadian Alliance, ‘check’, run for the Reform party, ‘ckeck’, run for the NDP, ‘check’). The Green candidate lives in Alberta.

Being frank, there is no real threat that the Green Shift will be implemented. The Liberals will not win this election and Dion will be gone by October 15th.

So in Avalon, the choice is between a government MP who bowed to Stephen Harper and let his constituents down, or a vocal opposition MP in Scott Andrews.

To me, I’d rather see someone who can bring up our riding’s concerns on a daily basis without fear of the leader’s wrath and someone isn’t afraid to grandstand a little bit to get what we need in Avalon (think Brian Tobin in the Rat Pack, or John Crosbie in the early 80s).

I’m voting for Andrews.

I to beleive that the ABC campaign will result in Manning going down on election night. From what I have read Andrews would be a controversial member and very popular in NL

I cannot imagine the House of commons with the next John Crosbie/ Scott Andrews!!! This guy can speak and can trully represent the values of the Island!!! I still believe that with a good debate from Dion, Scott would win this seat!

You are right that if the tories win a NL seat, this will be it, but its still an if. I doubt the tories will take any seats in NL personally, especially with Williams leading the charge against them. Manning, however, won this seat with Williams against him last time, and he could well do it again.
