I find it totally strange, that in writing about the province which gave birth to the CCF party, and sowed the seeds for social democracy in Canada, that you believe the only party who can represent you now is the Conservatives.
I just do not know what this Canada would be like now, had it not been for Tommy Douglas and David Lewis and Stanley Knowles and Ed Broadbent.
Perhaps we would be more like the United States, with no universal health insurance and no government subsidies with a laissez-faire economic philosophy.
If the Conservative Party has worked miracles for Canada’s farming economy which we haven’t heard about, then please let us know what they have done and why you think they are the only party who cares about agriculture.
