I have toured the riding of Barrie and in the Orillia area. As far as I can see be the sign war, the battles in this area is between the Conservatives and the Liberals. The NDP and Greens may make some head way but that is unlikely. The last time the NDP won in this area was at the provincial level in 1990.
I would categorize Barrie right now as too-close-to-call. The Liberals can win if they remind voters of the Conservative candidate’s shameless self-promotion using taxpayers money with massive mailings which were blatantly partisan. If the national Liberal campaign can can more agressive then this may happen here in Barrie.

Conservative Party
Liberal Party
New Democratic Party
Bloc Québécois
Green Party
Christian Heritage
Progressive Canadian
Marijuana Party
Marxist-Leninist Party
Canadian Action Party
Communist Party
Libertarian Party
First Peoples Party
Western Block Party
Animal Alliance Party

Have you ever wondered how a party can campaign that they are making a “Green Shift” and then use up so much paper on signs and pamphlets? I wonder how much of that is gonna get recycled?
Barrie is a riding that is up for grabs. Rick Jones is well known and the trend statred with Aileen Carroll in the provincial contest.
Don’t count Rick out yet.
As far as sign go take a drive down to Simcoe Grey. The sign war there is at least three way. Even the CHP candidate has lots of signs out.
Apparently AJ thinks the Liberals will campaign by jungle drum.
What an inane comment.
Perhaps Rick Jones and Barrie Liberals should make their signs out of hemp or Wasps Nest paper.
Let’s be grown up and have a real dialogue
